Course Overview:
English 9 Semester 2 continues the foundational ELA skills developed in Semester 1. Students engage with drama and Shakespeare, extended literary analysis, argument writing, language and style study, and synthesis research writing. The course covers Units 7 through 12 over 13 weeks.

Earth Science Semester 1 covers geology and Earth's systems: minerals and rocks, plate tectonics, earthquakes and volcanoes, weathering and erosion, and geologic time. Students work through daily lessons with warm-ups, readings, guided practice, and exit tickets, culminating in a comprehensive midterm exam.

Earth Science Semester 2 covers the atmosphere, oceans, human impact, and space: weather systems, climate change, oceanography, natural resources, the solar system, and stars and the universe. Students work through daily lessons with warm-ups, readings, guided practice, and exit tickets, culminating in a comprehensive final exam.
